RW FACILITIES

Corporate office

Rotondo Weirich is headquartered in Lederach, PA- about 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia. From this northeastern U.S. location, RW has centralized our executive management, project management, preconstruction, estimating, marketing, and accounting functions.

West Virginia Casting Facility

RW has an established casting location and mold storage facility in Hazelton, West Virginia to better serve the area’s market for precast concrete modular construction. In this PCI certified plant, RW manufactured the precast package of beams and columns for the Federal Bureau of Prisons U.S. Penitentiary in Hazelton, WV. This casting facility also completed projects for the states of Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

With our years of experience, RW has accumulated over $8 million in molding inventory. The steel molds which cast the modular pieces for our construction projects are complex pieces of machinery which hydraulically collapse for the extraction of a module. These are stored at the WV facility when not in use.

Mobile Fabrication Shop
In keeping with our philosophy of ON SITE, IN MIND, ANYWHERE, RW is now providing high quality on-site service to the owners and general contractors of each construction site, with a “mobile” fabrication shop. This mobile facility consists of two sea/land containers 40 feet long and 8 feet wide. All materials to work on the molds are secured inside the containers. When these containers are shipped to the site, they are placed as close to the production site as possible, set down parallel to each other approximately 17 feet apart. A custom roof is erected overhead “enclosing” the space in between the containers to create a protected work area for the molds.  The crane system operates overtop these buildings to move the molds in and out of the work area.

This new system is cost effective and efficient and has been used on every project since its inception. Having the molds and fabrication shop right where the project is being cast is such an advantage so our technicians can have the proper tools and equipment to make the necessary modifications to the molds. This ensures the highest quality control which ultimately leads to the highest quality product.

This is the RW difference at its best with the fabrication team and the production team working together on-site to make any adjustments necessary during the initial castings.
